So I’ve got a blog now… blogs are cool. And so are my Doctor Who references. Anyway, we’ve got matters to discuss! Important matters! You know… my blog and all…

Assuming that you’re still reading this (which you obviously are), I guess you might be interested in what exactly it is I’ll be posting on my blog. Fortunately, that can be summarised in one word: opinions. I like opinions. I like sharing them, finding out those of others, and discussing them. Civilised discussion, by the way… There shall be no mindless name-calling on this page!

Anyway, if you are interested in such things as well, or if you just like humorous writing styles and thinking about or discussing sometimes rather controversial issues, then this is the right place for you!

Being open-minded might be quite important if you want to read my posts, though. I tend to try and think about the extraordinary and often my posts will be neutral, aiming to make people think about an issue. True open-minded thinking is very important to me, as I think it is the only way we can properly improve this world, and that is something I would very much like to convince you of as well, in case you don’t agree yet.  Either way, be warned: open-mindedness will be important!

You can expect new posts every Monday and whenever inspiration strikes me, although I’ll always do my best to stick to quality > quantity. The Monday post will usually be up halfway through the afternoon, European time, so in the morning for readers in the US, and at night for  regions in the east.

Right, that probably leads me to the last thing I need to discuss in this post: myself. I am currently a university student in the Netherlands, where I do a programme called Liberal Arts and Sciences, and as you might have noticed by now, I like writing. I am currently working on my first book (a dystopian novel/trilogy), but I have many more plans for the future!

That pretty much wraps things up. Thanks for taking an interest, and I hope you’ll stick around! (for example by having a look at the list of most popular posts!)

    Hello Dean,

I just read your post about “Adultism” (I’m getting the spell-check wavy line on it, too). Very well written. Reading your article reminded me of when I was young and had brilliant ideas. I still have them, only they’re a bit different now. In any case, keep on writing and challenging ideas. If you check out my “About” page on my blog, I say, like you, that the point is to start discussions on topics of importance. In any case, I look forward to reading more from you and discussing points. Thank you and take care!
